RaroVideo has posted on their Facebook Page some good news - an upcoming blu-ray release of Fernando Di Leo's 1971 La bestia uccide a sangue freddo (AKA Slaughter Hotel AKA Asylum Erotica AKA Cold Blooded Beast). The now OOP region 1 DVD from Shriek Show had a few issues including some audio sync problems and although they did include the more graphic insert footage (with a obvious body double for Rosalba), there was some rather annoying cuts to their print (Rosalba's unedited stroll thru the greenhouse being one of those casualties). Raro had previously released this on DVD in Italy and it looked gorgeous, so with a new transfer from the 35mm negative this should be pretty amazing.
A combination of Margaret Lee & Rosalba in an women's sanitarium (specializing in their sexual hang-ups), a doctor played by Klaus Kinski and various & easy accessed medieval weapons hanging on the walls all add up to a classic slice of Italian giallo.
